Tadalis SX

Drug General Information

Tadalis SX is a phosphodiesterase inhibitor indicated for treatment of such problems as Erectile Dysfunction (ED) and impotence. It works by stimulating the blood flow into the penis. It is not intended for women or children. This drug does not protect you from sexually transmitted diseases, so make sure you use a condom or any other contraceptives.

You mustn’t take this drug if you are also taking nitroglycerin or other nitrates, or alpha-blocker medicines (alfuzosin, doxazosin, prazosin, or terazosin), as certain very serious side effects are likely to occur. If you are not sure what drugs belong to these groups or you are currently taking them consult your doctor before taking Tadalis SX to learn about any risks involved.

If you are currently taking other medicine for erectile dysfunction, antifungal medicines, macrolide antibiotics, medicine for high blood pressure, HIV protease inhibitors (ritonavir or indinavir) inform your doctor about that as in this case additional monitoring of your condition might be required. Inform your doctor of any particular medical conditions such as sickle cell anemia, eye diseases, uncontrolled high blood pressure or allergies.

Medicine taking

Tadalis SX is to be taken orally before sexual activity as prescribed by your doctor, on an empty stomach or with food. Do not take this drug more than once a day.

Precautions

It is not recommended to take this medicine if you ever had an allergic reaction to it. Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your doctor without first checking with him.

This drug might cause dizziness or vision changes; it’s not recommended to get engaged into any hazardous activities or activities that require fast reaction unless you are sure about the way your body reacts to Tadalis SX. It is recommended to stand up and sit down carefully during the period of treatment to avoid the above mentioned effects. The use of alcohol might lessen your ability to react quickly and cause undesirable side effects. Avoid excessive use of alcoholic beverages during the period of treatment.

The medicine should be used with caution by the elderly as they are more likely to have stronger side effects.

Possible Side Effects

Side effects that are likely to occur include headache, flushing, stomach upset or nausea, heartburn, stuffy or runny nose, back pain, muscle pain, vision changes. If these symptoms continue or appear to be bothersome, consult your doctor.

Contact your doctor immediately in case of experiencing an erection that lasts for more than 4 hours as this might cause damage to your penis if not treated urgently.

An allergic reaction to this medicine is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling, dizziness.

Storage

This medicine is to be stored at room temperature 77° F in a hermetic container, away from heat, direct light and moisture.

Overdose

Symptoms of overdose include back pain, muscle pain, and abnormal vision. In case an overdose is suspected, contact your doctor immediately.

Additional Information

Do not share this drug with those to whom it was not prescribed. It is indicated for men only and should be taken under your doctor’s supervision.

Do not use this medicine to treat other conditions unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor. If you are currently taking other drugs and are not sure about their interaction with Tadalis SX consult your doctor to learn about it.
